Kerry’s Place Autism Services
Mission:
To enhance the quality of life for people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder by being leaders in:
- developing and providing evidence-based support; and
- building capacity by sharing our knowledge and expertise.
Kerry’s Place Autism Services (KPAS) is a charitable, non profit organization dedicated to supporting people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Committed to enhancing the life of these individuals, KPAS offers a comprehensive range of programs, services and supports for people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, their families and other support providers.
All children, youth and adults supported by KPAS must have a diagnosis of ASD. Individuals receiving community supports cover the entire age spectrum from infanthood to adulthood. While Autism Spectrum Disorder affects both genders, the ratio for diagnoses is approximately 4:1 male vs. female.
KPAS was incorporated in 1974 and brings over 35 years of excellent support services and programs to children, youth and adults with an ASD who reside within four regional boundaries: Central East (York, Durham and Simcoe Regions), Central West (Peel, Halton, Wellington and Dufferin Regions), Toronto and South East Regions (Kingston, Belleville, Thomasburg and Tweed).
One of the main goals of KPAS is to assist people with an ASD and their families to plan for life through all of its stages. KPAS supports individuals with an ASD from childhood to adulthood through partnerships with individuals, families, community, other support providers, professionals, medical treatment facilities and the Ministry of Ontario. KPAS is one of a very few organizations in Ontario that provides a broad range of specialized supports and services across the age spectrum.
